Forces giving befitting reply to Pakistan-based terror groups: Rajnath Singh

LEH: Hours after terrorists attacked an Army camp in Jammu and Kashmir'sBaramulla district , Union home minister Rajnath Singh on Monday said security forces were giving a "befitting reply" to such attempts by Pakistan-based terrorist groups.

"Our security forces are giving a befitting reply," he told reporters here when asked about the attacks on security forces by terrorists in the state.

The attack on the camp of 46 Rashtriya Rifles in Baramulla, which also houses a unit of the Border Security Force, started at around 10:30pm and repeated exchanges of fire ensued.

One BSF jawan was killed and one wounded when terrorists tried to enter the Army camp, Baramulla superintendent of police Imtiyaz Hussein said.

The first major attack on security forces by terrorists came four days after the Indian Army launched surgical strikes+ on terror launch pads in Pakistan occupied Kashmir.

Sunday night's attack in Baramulla took place exactly a fortnight after terrorists struck at the Army brigade headquarters at Uri, killing 19 soldiers.

The home minister is on a two-day visit to Leh and Kargil to interact with a cross-section of people and take their suggestions on resolution of Kashmir issue.

Asked about his trip to Ladakh, Singh said he has come to understand the problems of the region by interacting with a cross section of people.

"Whatever problems the people face here, we will try to resolve them," he said.

This is Rajnath Singh 's fourth visit to Jammu and Kashmir ever since the unrest began in the state following the killing of Hizbul Mujahideen terrorist Burhan Wani on July 8.

Singh had led an all-party delegation to Srinagar and Jammu on September 4-5.

The leaders of various political leaders met over 400 people who came in 50 different delegations representing various sections of society in Srinagar and Jammu.

Earlier, the home minister had visited Srinagar on August 24-25 and July 23-24.

Pakistan violates ceasefire again
Meanwhile, violating the ceasefire again, Pakistani troops on Monday opened fire on forward areas along the LoC in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir.

"There is heavy firing going on in forward areas in Shahpur sector of Poonch district", a police officer said.

The firing started at around 10:45am and is going on.

Earlier, Pakistan troops had resorted to brief firing in Krishnagati sector of Poonch district around 01:00am, officials said This is the third ceasefire violation in the past 16 hours and the 8th ceasefire violation since surgical strikes.

Last year, 16 civilians were killed and 71 others injured in 405 incidents of cross-border firing by Pakistan.

4⃣ Remember what our kids are learning in 5th std is taught to 7th std abroad..
5⃣ Lets keep our kids out of unwanted competition.
6⃣ 80% of what kids are learning ,won't be useful to them in future..
7⃣ Our kids can really afford to do whatever they want to do in future .
8⃣ Higher degrees don't guaranty success and happiness..
9⃣ Not all the highly educated people do well professionally.
And not all who do well professionally are the happiest ones..
