“அகமகிழ்வோடு ஆண்டவரது இல்லத்திற்குப் போவோம்”

 “அகமகிழ்வோடு ஆண்டவரது இல்லத்திற்குப் போவோம்”

கோயிலில் தூங்கி வழியும் மக்கள்:

மண்ணுலகிற்கு அனுப்பிவைக்கப்பட்ட குட்டிச் சாத்தான்கள், அங்கே தாங்கள் செய்த ‘பணிகளைத்’ தலைமைச் சாத்தானிடம் சமர்ப்பித்தன.

“சிலர் பாலைநிலத்தின் வழியாகச் சென்றுகொண்டிருந்தார்கள். திடீரென அவர்கள் நடுவில் ஒரு சிங்கத்தை அனுப்பி வைத்து, அவர்கள் அனைவரையும் நான் கொன்றுபோட்டேன்” என்று தான் செய்த பணியை மிகவும் பெருமையோடு சொல்லி முடித்தது ஒரு குட்டிச் சாத்தான். அதற்குத் தலைமைச் சாத்தான் அதனிடம், “நீ, பாலைநிலத்தின் வழியாகச் சென்றவர்களுடைய உயிரை வேண்டுமானால் பறித்திருக்கலாம்; அவர்களுடைய ஆன்மாக்களை நீ ஒன்றும் செய்யவில்லை. அதனால் உன்னுடைய பணி மெச்சும்படி இல்லை” என்றது.

இதைத் தொடர்ந்து மற்றொரு குட்டிச் சாத்தான், “சில நாள்களுக்கு முன்பு கப்பலில் நூற்றுக்கும் மேற்பட்டோர் பயணம் செய்துகொண்டிருந்தனர். அவர்கள் நடுவில் நான் புயலை அனுப்பி வைத்து, அவர்களைக் கொன்றுபோட்டேன்” என்றது. இதற்கும் தலைமைச் சாத்தான், “நீ அவர்களுடைய உயிரைப் பறித்திருக்கின்றாயே அன்றி, அவர்களுடைய ஆன்மாக்களைப் பறிக்கவில்லை. அதனால் உன்னுடைய பணியும் சொல்லிக்கொள்ளும்படியாக இல்லை” என்றது.

இதற்குப் பிறகு வேறு சில குட்டிச் சாத்தான்களும் மண்ணுலகில் தாங்கள் செய்த பணியைச் சமர்ப்பித்தன. அவற்றிடம் தலைமைச் சாத்தான் முன்பு சொன்ன அதே பதிலைத்தான் சொன்னது. கடைசியாக ஒரு குட்டிச் சாத்தான், தலைமைச் சாத்தானிடம், “நான் கோயிலுக்கு வருகின்றவர்களை திருவழிபாட்டில் ஒன்றிக்க விடாமல் தூங்க வைத்தேன்” என்றது. இதைக் கேட்டுப் பெரிதும் மகிழ்ந்த தலைமைச் சாத்தான், “நீதான் நல்லமுறையில் பணிசெய்திருக்கின்றாய்” என்று அதனைப் பாராட்டியது.

பலர் இன்று கடமைக்காகக் கோயிலுக்குச் சென்று, திருவழிபாடு நடைபெறுகின்றபொழுது, தூங்கி வழிவதைக் காண முடிகின்றது. இவர்களெல்லாம் சாத்தானிடம் தங்களுடைய ஆன்மாக்களை இழந்தவர்கள் என்பதுதான் உண்மை. இத்தகைய சூழ்நிலையில், இன்று நாம் பாடக்கேட்ட பதிலுரைப்பாடலில் தாவீது, “அக மகிழ்வோடு ஆண்டவரது இல்லத்திற்குப் போவோம்” என்கிறார். அது குறித்து நாம் சிந்திப்போம்.

திருவிவிலியப் பின்னணி:

தாவீது மன்னர் ஆண்டவரது இல்லத்தின்மீது மிகுந்த ஆர்வம் கொண்டிருந்தார். (திபா 27:4, 65:4; 2 சாமு 7:1-3). அதை வார்த்தைகளால் விவரித்துச் சொல்ல முடியாது. அவரது காலத்தில் அல்லது அவரால் எருசலேம் திருக்கோயில் கட்டி எழுப்பப்படாவிட்டாலும், அவராலேயே எருசலேம் திருக்கோயில் கட்டி எழுப்பப்பட்ட இடம் வாங்கப்பட்டது (1 குறி 21-22). தவிர, அவரது காலத்தில் சந்திப்புக் கூடாரமும், அதில் உடன்படிக்கைப் பேழையுமே இருந்தது. அதுவே ஆண்டவரின் இல்லமாகப் பார்க்கப்பட்டது. இத்தகைய ஆண்டவரின் இல்லத்திற்குத் தாவீது அகமகிழ்வுடன் சென்றார். அதனாலேயே அவர், இன்று நாம் பதிலுரைப்பாடலாகப் பாடக்கேட்ட திருப்பாடல் 122 இல் “ஆண்டவரது இல்லத்திற்குப் போவம்” என்ற அழைப்பை நான் கேட்டபோது நான் அக மகிழ்ந்தேன்” என்கிறார்.

இஸ்ரயேல் மக்கள் பாஸ்கா விழா, பெந்தக்கோஸ்தே விழா, கூடார விழா ஆகிய மூன்று சமயங்களில் எருசலேமிற்குச் செல்ல வேண்டும் (விப 23: 14-19). தாவீது எருசலேமில் இருந்தாலும், அகமகிழ்வோடு ஆண்டவரின் இல்லத்திற்குச் சென்றது, நாம் ஒவ்வொருவரும் ஆண்டவரின் இல்லத்திற்கு அகமகிழ்வோடு செல்ல வேண்டும் என்ற சிந்தனையைத் தருகின்றது.

சிந்தனைக்கு:

 இறை மனித சங்கமம் நிகழும் ஆண்டவரின் இல்லத்திற்கு நாம் விருப்பத்தோடுதான் செல்கின்றோமா?

 கட்டாயத்தின் பேரில் ஆண்டவரின் இல்லத்திற்குச் செல்லும்போது, கடவுள் அருள்பாலிக்க மாட்டார்!

 உயிருள்ள கோயிலாக நாம் வாழ்வது எப்போது?

இறைவாக்கு:

‘என் இல்லம் மக்களினங்கள் அனைத்திற்கும் உரிய இறைமன்றாட்டின் வீடு’ (எசா 56:7) என்பார் ஆண்டவர். எனவே, நாம் ஆண்டவரின் இல்லம் எல்லா மக்களுக்குரிய இறைமன்றாட்டின் வீடு என்பதை உணர்ந்தவர்களாய், ஆண்டவரின் இல்லத்திற்கு ஆர்வமுடன் சென்று, அவரை வழிபட்டு, இறையருளை நிறைவாகப் பெறுவோம்.

யூதாவையும் எருசலேமையும் குறித்து ஆமோட்சின் மகன் எசாயா கண்ட காட்சி:

 முதல் வாசகம்

இறையரசின் முடிவில்லா அமைதியில் நாடுகள் அனைத்தையும் ஆண்டவர் ஒன்றுசேர்க்கிறார்.

இறைவாக்கினர் எசாயா நூலிலிருந்து வாசகம் 2: 1-5

யூதாவையும் எருசலேமையும் குறித்து ஆமோட்சின் மகன் எசாயா கண்ட காட்சி:

இறுதி நாள்களில் ஆண்டவரின் கோவில் அமைந்துள்ள மலை எல்லா மலைகளுக்குள்ளும் உயர்ந்ததாய் நிலைநிறுத்தப்படும்; எல்லாக் குன்றுகளுக்குள்ளும் மேலாய் உயர்த்தப்படும்; மக்களினங்கள் அதை நோக்கிச் சாரை சாரையாய் வருவார்கள்.

வேற்றினத்தார் பலர் அங்கு வந்து சேர்ந்து, ‘புறப்படுங்கள் ஆண்டவரின் மலைக்குச் செல்வோம்; யாக்கோபின் கடவுளின் கோவிலுக்குப் போவோம்; அவர் தம் வழிகளை நமக்குக் கற்பிப்பார்; நாமும் அவர் நெறிகளில் நடப்போம்’ என்பார்கள். ஏனெனில், சீயோனிலிருந்தே திருச்சட்டம் வெளிவரும்; எருசலேமிலிருந்தே ஆண்டவரின் திருவாக்கு புறப்படும்.

அவர் வேற்றினத்தாரிடையே உள்ள வழக்குகளைத் தீர்த்து வைப்பார்; பல இன மக்களுக்கும் தீர்ப்பளிப்பார்; அவர்கள் தங்கள் வாள்களைக் கலப்பைக் கொழுக்களாகவும், தங்கள் ஈட்டிகளைக் கருக்கு அரிவாள்களாகவும் அடித்துக்கொள்வார்கள், ஓர் இனத்திற்கு எதிராக மற்றோர் இனம் வாள் எடுக்காது; அவர்கள் இனி ஒருபோதும் போர்ப்பயிற்சி பெறமாட்டார்கள். யாக்கோபின் குடும்பத்தாரே, வாருங்கள் நாம் ஆண்டவரின் ஒளியில் நடப்போம்.

ஆண்டவரின் அருள்வாக்கு.

பதிலுரைப் பாடல்

திபா 122: 1-2. 4-5. 6-7. 8-9 (பல்லவி: 1)

பல்லவி: அகமகிழ்வோடு ஆண்டவரது இல்லத்திற்குப் போவோம்.

1 ‘ஆண்டவரது இல்லத்திற்குப் போவோம்’ என்ற அழைப்பை நான் கேட்டபோது அகமகிழ்ந்தேன்.

2 எருசலேமே! இதோ, நாங்கள் அடியெடுத்து வைத்து உன் வாயில்களில் நிற்கின்றோம். - பல்லவி

4 ஆண்டவரின் திருக்குலத்தார் அங்கே செல்கின்றனர்; இஸ்ரயேல் மக்களுக்கு இட்ட கட்டளைக்களுக்கிணங்க ஆண்டவரது பெயருக்கு அவர்கள் நன்றி செலுத்தச் செல்வார்கள்.

5 அங்கே நீதி வழங்க அரியணைகள் இருக்கின்றன. அவை தாவீது வீட்டாரின் அரியணைகள். - பல்லவி

6 எருசலேமில் சமாதானம் நிலைத்திருக்கும்படி வேண்டிக்கொள்ளுங்கள்; “உன்னை விரும்புவோர் வளமுடன் வாழ்வார்களாக!

7 உன் கோட்டைகளுக்குள் அமைதி நிலவுவதாக! உம் மாளிகைகளில் நல்வாழ்வு இருப்பதாக!” - பல்லவி

8 “உன்னுள் சமாதானம் நிலவுவதாக!” என்று நான் என் சகோதரர் சார்பிலும் என் நண்பர் சார்பிலும் உன்னை வாழ்த்துகின்றேன்.

9 நம் கடவுளாகிய ஆண்டவரின் இல்லம் இங்கே இருப்பதால், உன்னில் நலம் பெருகும்படி நான் மன்றாடுவேன். - பல்லவி

நற்செய்திக்கு முன் வாழ்த்தொலி

நற்செய்தி வாசகம்

கிழக்கிலும் மேற்கிலுமிருந்து பலர் விண்ணரசின் பந்தியில் அமர்வர்.

அக்காலத்தில்

இயேசு கப்பர்நாகுமுக்குச் சென்றபோது நூற்றுவர் தலைவர் ஒருவர் அவரிடம் உதவி வேண்டி வந்தார். “ஐயா, என் பையன் முடக்குவாதத்தால் மிகுந்த வேதனையுடன் படுத்துக் கிடக்கிறான்” என்றார். இயேசு அவரிடம், “நான் வந்து அவனைக் குணமாக்குவேன்” என்றார். நூற்றுவர் தலைவர் மறுமொழியாக, “ஐயா, நீர் என் வீட்டிற்குள் அடியெடுத்து வைக்க நான் தகுதியற்றவன். ஆனால் ஒரு வார்த்தை மட்டும் சொல்லும்; என் பையன் நலமடைவான். நான் அதிகாரத்துக்கு உட்பட்டவன். என் அதிகாரத்துக்கு உட்பட்ட படைவீரரும் உள்ளனர். நான் அவர்களுள் ஒருவரிடம் ‘செல்க’ என்றால் அவர் செல்கிறார். வேறு ஒருவரிடம் ‘வருக’ என்றால் அவர் வருகிறார். என் பணியாளரைப் பார்த்து ‘இதைச் செய்க’ என்றால் அவர் செய்கிறார்” என்றார்.

இதைக் கேட்டு இயேசு வியந்து, தம்மைப் பின்தொடர்ந்து வந்தவர்களை நோக்கி, “உறுதியாக உங்களுக்குச் சொல்கிறேன்; இஸ்ரயேலர் யாரிடமும் இத்தகைய நம்பிக்கையை நான் கண்டதில்லை. கிழக்கிலும் மேற்கிலுமிருந்து பலர் வந்து, ஆபிரகாம், ஈசாக்கு, யாக்கோபு ஆகியோருடன் விண்ணரசின் பந்தியில் அமர்வர்.” என்றார்

ஆண்டவரின் அருள்வாக்கு.

“கடவுள் அன்பாய் இருக்கிறார்!” 1 யோவா 04: 16

“Glorifying God - with deep Faith and Trust – wherever we live, work and move about!”

 “Glorifying God - with deep Faith and Trust – wherever we live, work and move about!”

(Based on Isa 2:1 and Mt 8:5-11 – Monday of the 1st Week in Advent)

A young man – new in town – was visiting a nearby church.

As he looked at the various art works, paintings and statues…

… his eyes chanced upon a stained-glass window.

The glass had a phrase written on it: “Glory to God in the Highest.”

>> However, the man also noticed…

… the part of the glass window that had the letter “E” in the word HIGHEST was broken and so missing.

Thus the phrase read instead: “Glory to God in the High st!”

When he saw that phrase, something greatly stuck him…

… High St was the name of the place where he was living – High Street!

And he nurtured this feeling within him:

“This is a clear message from the Lord to me, as I come to this new town

>> I need to Give Glory to God in the HIGH ST…

... the place where I am living – HIGH STREET – is where the Name of God needs to be glorified!”

The man realized that the way to Glorify God would be to Glorify Him in the place where he was…

… Glorify God - with Deep Faith and Trust – wherever we live, work and move about!

The Gospel of the Day is a beautiful account of a man who “Glorified God - with Deep Faith and Trust – by translation his faith into living and concrete action …

… and Jesus expressing His admiration for the person of Faith!

We have today the incident of the healing of the Centurion's servant.

>> Jesus lavishes His appreciations and admirations for a wonderful display of faith.

Here is the story an unusual faith found in an unusual man who displayed his faith in an unusual way.

1. The Centurion was an unusual person...

As the name suggests, a Centurion was a person with a hundred soldiers.

>> They worked for the Roman Empire and were Gentiles.

This Centurion however, was unusual, because of the fact, that he was very much concerned of his slave.

>> This was rare indeed.

In the Roman Empire, slaves had no rights.

>> They could be mistreated and even put to death.

It was said that “when your animals are old, you throw them out to die. You do the same with your slaves.”

So this is the unusual thing about this unusual Centurion - He cared very much about his slave!

2. The centurion showed an unusual faith...

The Centurion came to Jesus asking and pleading for help.

>> But when Jesus said that He would come to his house and heal him, the centurion was quick to answer him, "I am not worthy to have you under my roof" (Mt 8:8)

The spirit of a military man is clearly exhibited by the centurion.

A soldier’s way of thinking is extremely logical and to the point:

>> When an order is given, instant obedience is expected.

>> My commanding power goes beyond the realms of space

>> My presence or absence is no excuse for my soldiers to disobey.

The Centurion fully believed that Jesus was a mighty commander with all powers subjected to Him.

>> And so a word was enough for the healing to take place...

>> An expression of approval was good enough for the miracle to happen...

3. The Centurion received an unusual response

This tremendous expression of faith was enough for Jesus to admire and appreciate Him.

>> Jesus was astonished by this wonderful demonstration of confidence and belief: " Amen, I say to you, in no one in Israel, have I found such faith" (Mt 8: 10)

We have seen many instances of people praising and appreciating the works and wonders of Jesus.

>> But, it's one of those rare occasions, when Jesus publicly acknowledges and asserts the glorious faith of the one seeking for help.

The Lord gives a wonderful ovation and applause for this wonderful presentation of faith.

This Gospel is a wonderful challenge for each of us to examine our life of faith...

In a situation…

… when we are surrounded by sicknesses of negativity and discouragement,

… when life-threatening moments of crushing-failures and despair encircle us,

… when we get depressed by the various day to day problems of life,

>> Can we also boldly say, "Only say a word, Lord...and I will be healed!"

As a famous saying goes, "It is easy to praise the Lord...

... But it really is a challenge to receive praises from the Lord!"

>> When we stand firm in our faith in God, we receive appreciations from Him

>> When we have confidence in our love for God, we receive admiration from Him

>> When we remain strong in our Hope in God, we receive approval from Him.

Let us realize that that the way to Glorify God would be to Glorify Him in the place where we are and in the situation we are in…

… Glorify God - with Deep Faith and Trust – wherever we live, work and move about!
