Plant tree to reduce increasing temperature in earth
VERY IMPORTANT: ☝
Max Temperatures recorded in some Indian cities:
☀Lucknow 47 degrees
☀Delhi 47 degrees
☀Agra 45 degrees
☀Nagpur 49 degrees
☀Kota 48 degrees
☀Hyderabad 45 degrees
☀Pune 42 degrees
☀Ahmedabad 46 degrees
☀ Mumbai 42 degrees
☀ Nashik 40 degrees
☀Bangalore 40 degrees
☀ Chennai 45 degrees
Next years these cities will cross 50 degrees. Even AC or fan will not save you in summer.. 😰
Why is it so hot ???
☀☀☀☀☀☀☀☀☀
In last 10 years over 10 crore trees were cut for widening roads and highways.
🌳🌳🌳🌳🌳🌳🌳🌳🌳
But not more than a lakh trees has been planted by govt. or public.
How to make India cool ???
☔☔☔☔☔☔☔☔☔
Please do not wait for government to plant trees.
Sowing seeds or planting trees does not cost much.
🌳🌲🌴🌿🍂🍃🌳🌴🌲🌳
Just collect seeds of Shatavari, Bel, Peeple, Tulsi, mango, Lemon, Jamun, Neem, Custard Apple, Jack fruit, etc.
🍎🍏🍊🍋🍒🍇🍐🍍🍈🍑
Then dig two-three inch hole on open spaces, roadside, footpaths, highways, gardens and also in your society or bungalow.
Bury these seeds in each hole with soil and then water them every two days in summer.
🚿🚿🚿🚿🚿🚿🚿🚿🚿
In rainy season no need to water them.
After 15 to 30 days small plants will be born.
🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱
Please nurture them and ensure they grow big.
Let us make this a National movement and plant 10 crore trees all over India.
🌳🌳🌳🌳🌳🌳🌳🌳🌳
We should stop temperature from touching 50 degrees.....
⏬🆒🆗⏬🆒🆗⏬🆒🆗⏬
Please plant maximum trees and forward this message to everyone. Lets distribute saplings as return gifts during functions, birthdays etc. 🌴🌳🌳🌳🌳🌳🌳🌳🌳🌳

Eligibility Criteria to become an MLA
Eligibility Criteria to become an MLA
The qualifications needed to become an MLA are almost similar to the eligibility criteria for an MP. Besides being a citizen of India, the individual should not be less than 25 years of age. On a more fundamental note, a person, who is not a voter from any constituency of the state, is not eligible to become an MLA.
It’s to be noted that an MLA is elected by the people of a particular constituency and he/she represents those electorates in the legislative Assembly. MLAs enjoy the same position in the state as MPs on a national level.
Disqualification of an MLA
Disqualification of an MLA
The Supreme Court recently ruled that the “charge-sheeted MPs and MLAs, on conviction for offences, will be immediately disqualified from holding membership of the House without being given three months’ time for appeal.” According to the Bench of justices, the Section 8 (4) of the Representation of the People Act is unconstitutional since it gives protection to MPs and MLAs and allows them to continue in office even after conviction if they appeal before a higher court within three months. The Act has been misused by the convicted legislators as they could file an appeal against their convictions and get a stay on the sentence.
While striking down this section, the bench pointed out the existing dichotomy – while convicted individuals could be disqualified from contesting elections, yet they are allowed to remain the Members of Parliament and State Legislatures. As per the apex court verdict, if an MLA is convicted of any offence (and sentenced to imprisonment) under Sections 8 (1) (2) and (3), he/she must be disqualified “from the date of conviction.” The court also ruled that the MLA will remain disqualified for “a further period of six years since his release”.

Apple's 9-year iPhone upswing stops, as sales decline for the first time in years
The company's sales dropped by more than a quarter in China, its most important market after the United States, and it also forecast another disappointing quarter for global revenues.
Its shares fell about 8 per cent, dropping below $100 for the first time since February. A hike in Apple's share buyback and dividend as well as bumper revenue from services failed to mollify investors.
Apple's results followed disappointing quarterly reports from Microsoft Corp and Google-owner Alphabet Inc, and microblog Twitter also on Tuesday reported results that missed expectations.
Apple said it sold 51.2 million iPhones in its second fiscal quarter, down from 61.2 million in the same quarter a year ago but above analysts' estimates of about 50 million devices.
After years of blockbuster sales, many investors fear the iPhone has reached saturation, spelling the end for Apple's exponential growth.
"Apple needs to come up with a radical new innovation or product rather than just the current incremental improvements to existing products. This is the only way in which it will reinvigorate sales growth," said Neil Saunders, chief executive of research firm Conlumino.
Apple chief financial officer Luca Maestri told Reuters that the success of the iPhone 6 a year earlier had set a difficult bar to beat in the second quarter. "The iPhone 6 is an anomaly," he said.
But chief executive Tim Cook told analysts that the smartphone market was not growing, reinforcing wider concerns of saturation.
Cook also conceded that the iPhone 6S was driving customers to replace phones at a much lower rate than the 6. "I don't mean just a hair lower; it's a lot lower," he said. "If we'd had the same rate on 6S as 6, it would be time for a huge party."
He pointed to the services division, which includes Apple Music and the App Store, as a bright spot. Its revenue grew 20 percent to $6 billion and surpassed iMac and iPad sales.
Cook also hinted that Apple had more gadgets to come. "The future of Apple is very bright," he said. "Our product pipeline has amazing innovations in store."
Earnings of $1.90 per share fell short of the average analyst estimate of $2 per share, according to Thomson Reuters I/B/E/S. Revenue of $50.56 billion missed expectations of $51.97 billion.
VVIP chopper scam: Christian Michel - the man who flew away with Rs 330 crore
Christian Michel, a British businessman, was paid millions of dollars by AgustaWestland.
A large portion of the money paid by AgustaWestland to Michel is "completely disproportionate" to the work he did for the company — that's how the Milan Court of Appeals describes a man Indian investigators have been seeking. Interpol issued a red corner notice against Michel on India's request in December 2015
Italian prosecutors had argued that Michel and Guido Hashke, a Swiss-Italian national, worked together to influence Indian officials to pick Agusta's choppers. Michel got plenty of attention in the court judgement, although Italian authorities had not cross-examined him.
The court, which has held that the Agusta sale involved corruption, has devoted a full chapter to Michel in its judgement. Italian prosecutors alleged Michel was a key player in the VVIP chopper deal. Michel could not be contacted by ET. He had earlier issued statements on his willingness to cooperate with investigators in return for immunity from prosecution.
The Milan court has noted that Michel was paid over 44 million euros by AgustaWestland for various contracts, which included a deal to supply spare parts for Indian naval helicopters and a post-contract service deal for the VVIP chopper contract.
The judgement said the description of his work for the contracts — which included a 6 million euro post-service contract for VVIP choppers — was "vague" and "completely disproportionate to the large amount of fees paid to him".
Michel had a 18.2 million euro contract to buy back discarded WG 30 choppers from India, a 6 million euro deal for servicing VVIP choppers and a 12 million euro contract to supply spares and parts for naval choppers.
The court said the servicing contract awarded by Agusta to Michel cannot be fully explained. "With respect to the 'postcontract award service agreement', the defence tried to enhance its relevance but it is sufficient to mention the results of investigations — even internal — which found that, against the large consideration agreed (euros 6,050,0000 total), it has produced only some periodic 'reports' (moreover, 'of poor quality') while none of the other commitments expected from the contract appears to have been fulfilled..."
The court noted that an internal assessment of the group by PwC London had also raised doubts on these contracts.
The judgement notes: "The doubts of the external auditors pertained to the opacity of the transaction (to buy back choppers), which it was suspected was hiding prohibited consultancies under the 'Integrity Pact', while about the second they had asked for clarification about its validity, since it was about Michel's companies' assistance in the phase of aircraft delivery, but although the aircraft had not yet been delivered (they would be only at the beginning of 2013) the payments had already begun".

Not diamond or gold, bride in MP wants 10,000 saplings as wedding gift
A 22-year-old woman in rural Madhya Pradesh surprised her family and in-laws with an unusual pre-wedding condition – planting 10,000 saplings instead of gold ornaments or cash.
The green demand made by Priyanka Bhadoriya – a science graduate and resident of Kisipura village in Bhind district – was quickly accepted by the groom, Ravi Chauhan, and the couple got married on Friday.
“I have been planting saplings from the age of 10. When my marriage was fixed on Earth Day, I was very happy environment reminded me of my emotional bonding with it,” Bhadoriya told HT.
Bhadoriya’s demand was rooted in her farmer father’s frequent struggles with drought and failing crop yields that originated from the fast-depleting green cover in the region.
“I am happy after knowing that she is more concerned about environment than her own wealth,” said Ravi Chauhan.
Bhadoriya made the request on Tuesday, when her sister-in-law sought to know her preferences in ornaments and clothes – part of a ritual in the Gwalior-Chambal region, where bride are asked for their choice in gifts.
Bhadoriya said she wanted 5,000 saplings to be planted at her paternal house and the rest at her in-laws’ place.
“The in-laws were surprised that the bride wanted plants instead of gold and diamonds. They thought she was asking for a few trees but she made it clear she wanted 10,000 saplings in place of jewellery,” said Brijesh Singh, Bhadoriya’s elder brother.
The newly-wed couple planted three trees in Kishipura village before leaving for Jalaun, where Chauhan’s family is based.
“We planted two saplings of mango as it is considered pious by nature. We will plant saplings on our every wedding anniversary,” said the couple.
Bhadoria said she wanted to distribute saplings among other people, including farmers and social workers.
“From childhood, I had a close connection with environment,” she said.

Make money using facebook
Its program gives video creators 55% of ad revenue.
Video has taken over Facebook, with daily views on the platform growing four-fold to a whopping four billion in just a year. But until now, video creators haven’t had a way to make money on the platform.
That changes today. The company introduced its plan to monetize videos and share the revenue with creators. Facebook’s revenue split with creators is the same as YouTube’s: 55% of the money earned from ads goes to the creator and 45% to Facebook. The program begins with “a few dozen” partners, including Tastemade, NBA, Hearst, Funny or Die, and Fox Sports.
“Partners say they’d publish a lot more if they could get benefit of distribution but also make money,” says Dan Rose, vice president of partnerships at Facebook FB -1.08% .
Facebook’s revenue split is slightly more complicated than YouTube’s “pre-roll” ads that play before videos. That’s because Facebook videos play automatically with the sound off. Auto-play pre-roll ads would annoy users, so the company created a whole new environment to show people videos, and in turn, video ads.
Now, when a Facebook user goes to watch a video on mobile, they are taken to a screen with a black background that automatically suggests more videos to watch afterwards. (It’s called, in Facebook’s straightforward naming convention, “Suggested Videos.”) After a few videos, the user will see a video ad. The ads is not attached to any one piece of content, but rather floats between them like a TV commercial. One key difference is that, unlike Facebook’s autoplay videos, these ads will have the sound on, since users are already watching video with sound.
Facebook will split revenue from ads watched between all videos watched in a single session, determining the payouts by how long the viewer spends with each video. So, if you watched a one-minute video from Funny or Die and a four-minute video from Fox Sports with an ad in between, Funny or Die would get a fifth of 55% of the ad revenue and Fox Sports would get four-fifths of the 55% of revenue.
Facebook has tested the “Suggested Videos” product with a small portion of iOS users over the last few weeks. Today the test goes wider, and it will expand to more users in the coming months. Android and desktop will follow, says Rose. Suggested Videos users “a way to go into a more immersive experience,” he notes.
Suggested Videos
Facebook hasn’t broken out how much money it makes on video ads that appear in its News Feed. Sheryl Sandberg noted in Facebook’s last earnings call that the revenue could be incremental, since advertisers may be buying video ads instead of their normal photo ads, not in addition.
But many industry watchers expect video, and specifically, mobile video, to be a major source of revenue growth engine for Facebook in the next year. Despite a recent deal to host two new HBO shows, Facebook maintains it is focused on short form videos and not long-form TV shows and movies. A prior deal in 2011 with Warner Brothers to host movies including the Dark Knight fizzled.) “Facebook is used as a product [in] short, bite-sized sessions — people dipping in and out, multiple times a day, and for brief periods of time,” Rose says. Suggested Videos and News Feed are optimized for short-form video, he added.
Prior to today, Facebook’s sales pitch to video creators has simply been: “access our massive audience.” In other words, give us your premium content for free, and get more fans. Even without a financial incentive, Facebook has lured premium video creators to the platform, including Michelle Phan, Complex, Mic and TYT Network, all of which experienced huge audience growth by posting videos to the platform. (It helps that the social network’s “News Feed” algorithm favors video posts and numerous video creators.)
Despite its early success, Facebook faces challenges on its road to video dominance. For one, YouTube, which has been the only video platform with scale for a decade until Facebook came around, will not give up easily. The platform has been fighting to keep its prized creators on YouTube, offering bonuses for anyone signing an exclusive contract. And YouTube is not the only player competing for premium video content. The overflowing bucket of TV ad dollars is too great a prize for any web platform to pass up. As I wrote earlier this month:
Messaging app Snapchat, a Facebook rival, is ramping up sales of video ads for its new Discover platform. Same goes for Twitter, which owns two hot video properties, Vine and Periscope. Spotify recently added video-streaming capabilities to its music-streaming app, partnering with just about every big name in digital-video content. Hulu, Yahoo YHOO 1.29% , and Verizon-backed AOL AOL 0.00% are doubling down on their video strategies. By this time next year, any one of them might have conjured up a 4-billion-view-a-day video product themselves.
Further, Facebook must rush to roll out the sophisticated analytics and copyright tools that publishers are used to. Too often, a random person can upload someone else’s video. Take a recent clip from the Daily Show about the Charleston shootings. A performing artist called Rock-Solid uploaded it to his page and got 23 million views. The Daily Show’s own version, posted hours later, has less than 2 million views.
Executives from the latter two companies provided quotes expressing how “excited” they were about video on Facebook. Only Facebook will sell video ads during the test, unlike with Facebook’s Instant Article program for text publishers, which allows content owners the option to sell ads.
Here’s What Could Go Wrong If You Watch Porn On Your Android Smartphone
People watch porn on their phones. It's a fact. In the bathroom, under the covers in the dead of night, maybe even in government assemblies. Apparently there's even some apps around that help your small screen dreams come about a little easier. As with all things good (?) however, there's a few reasons why it might not be such a good idea to indulge in a little erotica via your phone.
Here's why you should avoid watching porn on your android smartphone.
1. It can activate subscriptions leading to unwanted charges
Regardless of it being illegal, certain porn sites can actually activate VAS subscriptions on your phone, such as horoscope packs, dream girl packs, etc. These end up giving you monthly charges ranging from Rs 5 to Rs 35 a month. To stop this, send an SMS by typing "STOP" to 155223 and follow the instruction to deactivate them. Also, avoid using mobile internet to watch porn, if you must.
2. It can lead to displaying fake versions of different apps
Watching porn can activate porn tickers, which basically means when you head to the play store, you might see fake versions of apps like Temple Run and the like. If you click on these, you'll end up downloading a Trojan. Clear your cache frequently and check the credentials of the apps you download.
3. It can cause massive security risks
Watching porn on a phone that's synced with your Gmail ID is a pretty bad idea, and if you've got your banking app on there as well, then it's a massive security risk. It opens you phone up to cybercriminals pretty easily.
4. Your phone could get ransomwares
Randsomwares are a form of malware that some porn sites can put out. It locks your phone down completely, and you are then asked to pay in order to get your phone to function again. All the information in your phone will be available to them, and there's also no guarantee that they'll unlock your phone once you pay.

A vegetarian world would be healthier, cooler and richer, say scientists
Barcelona: By eating less meat and more fruit and vegetables, the world could avoid several million deaths per year by 2050, cut planet-warming emissions substantially, and save billions of dollars annually in healthcare costs and climate damage, researchers said.
A new study, published in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences of the United States of America, is the first to estimate both the health and climate change impacts of a global move towards a more plant-based diet, they said.
Unbalanced diets are responsible for the greatest health burden around the world, and our food system produces more than a quarter of greenhouse gas emissions, said lead author Marco Springmann of the Oxford Martin Programme on the Future of Food.
"What we eat greatly influences our personal health and the global environment," he said.
The Oxford University researchers modelled the effects of four different diets by mid-century: a 'business as usual' scenario; one that follows global guidelines including minimum amounts of fruits and vegetables and limits on red meat, sugar and total calories; a vegetarian diet; and a vegan diet.
Adopting a diet in line with the global guidelines could avoid 5.1 million deaths per year by 2050, while 8.1 million fewer people would die in a world of vegans who do not consume animal products, including eggs and milk.
When it comes to climate change, following dietary recommendations would cut food-related emissions by 29 percent, adopting vegetarian diets would cut them by 63 percent and vegan diets by 70 percent.
Dietary shifts could produce savings of $700 billion to $1,000 billion per year on healthcare, unpaid care and lost working days, while the economic benefit of reduced greenhouse gas emissions could be as much as $570 billion, the study said.
Regional Differences
The researchers found that three-quarters of all benefits would occur in developing countries, although the per capita impacts of dietary change would be greatest in developed nations, due to higher rates of meat consumption and obesity.
The economic value of health improvements could be comparable with, and possibly larger than, the value of the avoided damage from climate change, they added.
"The value of those benefits makes a strong case for increased public and private spending on programmes aimed to achieve healthier and more environmentally sustainable diets," Springmann said.
The study looked at regional differences which could be used to identify the most suitable interventions for food production and consumption, Springmann said.
For example, lower red meat consumption would have the biggest effect in East Asia, the West and Latin America, while boosting fruit and vegetable intake was found to be the largest factor in cutting deaths in South Asia and sub-Saharan Africa.
Lower calorie intake, leading to fewer overweight people, would play a key role in improving health in the Eastern Mediterranean, Latin America and Western nations, the study said.
But it will not be easy. To achieve a diet that sticks to common guidelines would require a 25 percent increase in the number of fruits and vegetables eaten globally, and a 56 percent cut in red meat.
Overall humans would need to consume 15 percent fewer calories, it said.
"We do not expect everybody to become vegan," Springmann added. "But climate change impacts of the food system will be hard to tackle and likely require more than just technological changes. Adopting healthier and more environmentally sustainable diets can be a large step in the right direction."
Samsung to launch foldable smartphone next year: Will it be the Galaxy S8?
Samsung is reportedly planning to launch the world's first foldable smartphone that could be used as a smartphone as well as a tablet. South Korea's ETNews cited an unnamed Samsung executive who confirmed that a foldable handset would enter mass production by the end of this year and be available commercially in 2017.
According to the report, Samsung and its display manufacturing arm, Samsung Display, have partnered with various manufacturers to execute the idea of a foldable smartphone into reality. The company is reportedly looking at a 7-inch foldable device that can fold in half to be used as a 5-inch smartphone. These smartphones are said to have OLED displays.
Although mass-production cannot be concluded hastily since Samsung Electronics still has few other major tasks to complete, I've heard that Samsung Electronics had made considerable amount of results in the time being," an industry source told ETNews.
Samsung has been in the news for foldable smartphones for quite some time now. The company officially addressed the development of foldable OLED displays in January, but wihtout a direct reference to an actual foldable smartphone.
"Development of Foldable OLED is taking place according to our plan," Director of Samsung's Display division Lee Chang-hoon said during an investors call in January. "We are planning on mass-production and release of this product by discussing with our partners."
But the details on how a foldable smartphone would work are light. It is not surprising Samsung would use OLED panels for its foldable displays, as it had already used such displays in its curved HDTVs, Galaxy S6 Edge and S7 Edge smartphones.
Samsung recently launched its latest flagship Galaxy S7 series, but there hadn't been any major upgrades in terms of design. The foldable smartphone would be a revolutionary change, provided the execution is done right. The intense competition in the premium smartphone market demands innovation and if foldable phones are the future, then Samsung would be a lead player.
There is no reference of the foldable display technology linking to Galaxy S8, but it is too soon to start speculating rumours about the 2017 flagship
Exercise may ease sleep for overweight men with insomnia
Overweight men with chronic insomnia fall asleep more easily and quickly after a six-month aerobic exercise program, according to a new study in Finland.
Insomnia affects between 40 and 80 percent of overweight and obese men, said Serge Brand of the Center for Affective, Stress and Sleep Disorders at the Psychiatric Clinics of the University of Basel in Switzerland, who was not part of the new study.
Regular aerobic exercise training reduces sedentary time, reduces appetite, improves cardiovascular performance and increases self-esteem and self-efficacy, Brand told Reuters Health by email. It also increases sleep need for recovering and improving body tissues such as muscles, tendons, and organs related to respiration and blood flow, and it improves mood, he added.
Senior author Sulin Cheng of Shanghai Jiao Tong University in China and the University of Jyvaskyla in Finland and coauthors recruited 45 men ages 30 to 65. Almost all were overweight or obese, with at least three months of insomnia symptoms like difficulty falling asleep, difficulty maintaining sleep, early-morning awakenings or nonrestorative sleep.
Cheng did not respond to a request for comment.
Half of the men were randomly selected to attend aerobic exercise sessions for six months, including one to five sessions per week of 30 to 60 minutes with a trainer. The number of sessions and intensity of exercise depended on fitness level as assessed by a test before the study began. The remaining men maintained their usual behaviors.
The researchers used bed sensors, sleep diaries, questionnaires, activity and diet diaries and body measurements to track participants’ progress.
After six months, the exercise group took less time to fall asleep and less often had difficulty falling asleep than the comparison group. Men in the exercise group also reported fewer occasions of waking up in the night, more efficient sleep and better sleep quality based on how they felt in the mornings, as reported in Sleep Medicine.
Exercise may help dampen the mental and physical “hyperarousal” that seems to be a common feature in insomnia, with feelings of persistently elevated heart rate, mind racing and being unable to turn off your brain, said Christopher E. Kline, a researcher at the University of Pittsburgh Sleep and Chronobiology Center.
“Such regular aerobic exercise training is also suitable for women and also for those who are not overweight,” Brand said. “People exercising regularly improve their self-control and self-discipline, which in turn has benefits for a general healthier lifestyle,” said Kline, who was not involved in the study.
“It seems that endurance training such as jogging, swimming or dancing for at least 30 minutes per day for three to five days per week has the highest impact,” Brand said.
People who take medications to treat insomnia do not learn anything about self-control, self-esteem and self-efficacy, he said. “The ‘best’ option for insomnia really seems to be behavioral sleep therapy, typically delivered as cognitive behavioral therapy,” Kline told Reuters Health by email. “It’s a package of therapies delivered by a trained professional that has been shown to be just as effective as hypnotics in the short term and much more effective in the long term.”
A long-term exercise regimen would probably be more effective than hypnotic medications, but a single exercise session may not be as effective as a pill, he said.
“But these pills carry so many side effects (including more and more links to mortality), that I would recommend exercise over hypnotics regardless of effectiveness,” Kline said.
